During the first day of the Conference of the Heads of Ukraine’s Diplomatic Missions, Minister for Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Andrii Sybiha announced the launch of a new fundraising initiative – to procure ground robotic systems that perform critical tasks on the front line.
The initiative to provide Ukrainian units with life-saving robotic systems is being implemented by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine in partnership with UNITED24, the official fundraising platform initiated by President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy.
“Support for defense technologies, particularly ground robotic systems, will help scale unique innovations aimed at saving lives. Diplomacy stands with our military, and this campaign is a direct contribution to strengthening our defense capabilities,”– stated Minister for Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Andrii Sybiha.
On the battlefield, ground robotic systems can operate in extremely dangerous and hard-to-reach areas. They not only improve operational efficiency but also help protect Ukrainian soldiers from enemy drones and artillery strikes.
The fundraising campaign will support the procurement of various robotic models, including:
Targan 300, Volia-E, TerMIT, Ardal 920, Ratel H, Zmiy, Bro-1409, Thor 1000/800, Teslia.
Evacuation robots extract wounded soldiers from the front line without endangering rescue teams.
Logistics robots are versatile platforms that deliver supplies, ammunition, and equipment to frontline positions. They can also deploy electronic warfare systems and remote video surveillance tools.
Demining robots assist in reconnaissance, surveillance, and mine clearance. They neutralize traps, anti-personnel and anti-tank mines, ensuring safe passage for troops and equipment. Ten “Zmiy” robots alone can clear up to 20 hectares per day.
